Gamers who fell victim to this exploit started reporting those that abused it, causing Epic Games to take action by banning players and removing the Kinetic Blade from Fortnite's tournaments. It may seem like a lot of work, but it gave players a way to take down enemies from any range without risk. Although it's not been confirmed, it is very likely that this is related to an exploit the Fortnite community discovered recently, which allowed gamers to easily eliminate an opponent with the Kinetic Blade by turning off their Wi-Fi, attacking their enemy, and then turning Wi-Fi back on.
